I think we've all lost someone dear to us. Three years ago I lost my mom and there are days when I
just want to call her up and say hello to chat about my flower gardens, the deer behind the house or what's going on in her world. Obviously, I can't do that, but what I wouldn't give to have a recording of her -- even something as simple as a saved voicemail message -- just so I could hear her voice again. Is there someone in your life you feel this way about? If so, now there's something you can do to preserve the voices and memories you love in a beautiful keepsake...
Back before Christmas, Hope Flammer was my guest on my radio show, Organization Nation for the Giving Clutterfree Holiday Gifts series. Hope is the creator of VoiceQuilt, which is one of the coolest gift ideas I've ever seen. It's essentially a way to preserve the voices of those you love and give it as a gift to yourself or someone else.
After last December's broadcast, one of my listers and blog readers, Vicki Voisin, bought a VoiceQuilt from Hope and created a wonderful keepsake gift for her granddaughter Sara. This month, Vicki shared her experience with VoiceQuilt, and it's a great story. It's just over a minute in length, so I encourage you to give a listen and consider getting a VoiceQuilt for someone you love for their birthday, anniversary, or just to say "I love you".

Monica-
Thanks for the wonderful endorsement. I lost my mother when I was a teen and how I wish I had a recording of her laugh! That's something we definitely share.
Vicki, the listener you referenced, was an incredibly creative VoiceQuilt customer. She coaxed her spouse into reading a book -- her daughter too. As a result, they now have a family keepsake that Vicki's granddaughter can someday give to her own children.
Leave it to one of your readers and listeners to pioneer a new way of using our product.
Thanks again,
Hope

Hope, thanks for your comment. Vicki emailed to tell me how much she loves her VoiceQuilt. You know I just think the world of the concept and am more than happy to tell people about it. Keep up the great work!

What a fabulous idea!!!!
I wish we had taken the time to make some videos of my Godmother before she passed away. She was an amazing story teller!

The idea for Sarah's Voice Quilt was mine, but I must give credit to Hope and her staff for making it a reality. They were fabulous to work with. As I said in my testimonial, the end product was top quality. I highly recommend this clutter-free, long-lasting keepsake to everyone. Sarah loves to listen to her "Voice Mail" (isn't that just the cutest?!) every night, as her brother yells from his bedroom, "Turn it up!" I will, of course, produce one for his upcoming birthday. Thanks, Monica...I learned about this on your radio program...and Thanks, Hope, for a great product and all your support!

Vicki, that's so cute that Sarah's brother yells "turn it up!" from his room at night! LOL... he'll be so glad to get his own box, no doubt. Jacki, you're right, I have NO video of any of my deceased family and I so wish I did.
