Quote of the Week: Attitude
Each Wednesday, I share with you a quote that inspires me, in the hope that it will also inspire you. This week's quote comes from Katherine Mansfield, a New Zealand fiction writer.
"Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life itself would come to be different. Life would undergo a change of appearance because we ourselves had undergone a change of attitude."
Katherine Mansfield
1888-1923, Writer

Sounds like she was influenced by William James, who said, "The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude." James predated Katherine by some 40 years. You have to wonder if she had access to his work, or whether, as often is the case, the spark of enlightenment is distributed randomly.

Sounds like she was influenced by the hashish pipe.
The current nugget of wisdom that adorns the Grand entry-way to my (uncluttered) cubicle and encompasses the wisdom from days gone by is:
"The floggings will stop when morale improves."

Hi Monica!
I've often wondered why your 'comments section' flowed from 'newest' to 'oldest' rather than showing the flow of feedback from 'oldest' to 'newest' - which is how most blog comment posts are set up.
I personally don't like scrolling to the end of the page only to scroll up in order to follow the chronological flow of conversation.
Example: Who writes a question to a person at the bottom of a piece of paper and expects the answer to be written above?
Thoughts?

Big Nerd, I will see if I can change that preference in my settings. Good point. :)
