Now Is The Time To Re-Design Your Closets!

Don't you love traditions? They link us to our past and even though some are a little out there, many are lovely. The Macy's Parade at Thanksgiving, for example is a fun tradition. The Mummer's Parade on New Years Day in Philadelphia is another one. (and if you haven't heard of, or seen the Mummers, you simply MUST) Another annual tradition is Burning Man, held over six days in the desert of Nevada. Along with these is another of my favorite annual traditions...

The annual Container Store Elfa Sale! Christmas Eve through the end of January is the best time all year to re-think your storage. Re-design your closets, add bookshelves in the office, outfit the garage with some wall shelves, or try out the new Elfa freestanding shelves as an entertainment center. Whatever you need in the way of shelving, now is the time to nab it for a whopping 30% off retail! Find a Container Store near you, or order online. But hurry, the sale only lasts until the end of January!

Didn't we just have an Elfa Shelf sale a few months ago? Are Elfa shelves like mattresses and flooring--perpetually on sale? I remember buying one so I could line up my Roaming Gnome collection, but when I saw them sitting there all in a row, they seemed like targets, so I shot them all. "Ashes to ashes, elves to dust..." Now, I have a used Elfa Shelf for sale.

You do Burning Man? I thought you were barred from re-entering Nevada after your last trip there. Christmas Boy better watch out. He didn't get you that infra-red garbage can!

Terry, Elfa is on sale only twice per year. Once in January during the Elfa sale, which is 30% off all ELFA ONLY and then again in October during the SHELVING sale (25% off ALL shelving in the store, not just Elfa).

And no, I don't go to Burning Man. Not that I wouldn't go once just to experience it. I probably would go just for a day or so to check it out. But it doesn't really seem like my style.

Where can I sell used Elfa? A website maybe? I have 5 double shoe racks (with beech) for sale cheap - I've upgraded to the triple shoe racks (shoes can multiply like rabbits).

Monica,
Thanks for your comment. If I were you, I'd try your local Craigslist. I've had good luck selling there in the past. Be as specific as possible, and definitely include the maximum number of photos. That is key for selling quickly. Good luck!
