Clutter Diet Product Helps My Kitchen Stay Organized

Spacescaping My pal and colleague Lorie Marrero created a cool product designed to help you remember where your stuff is when you organize (or RE-organize) your kitchen. The Clutter Diet SpaceScaping Kitchen Organizing System is a set of pre-written, re-positionable labels that you put on the outside of your cabinets and drawers, to remind you of where each category of items lives, just until you have the hang of it.

The idea is that you position the labels to help you remember your system, and then when you've begun to remember where things live, you just remove the labels. Lorie spent a lot of time (and money, no doubt) making sure the adhesive was just sticky enough to stay put, but not so sticky that it wouldn't release. They're just perfect -- they come off really easily when you want them to, and the last time I visited...

my mountain house, I tried them out. It was a few weekends ago, and I was finishing unpacking and organizing the kitchen. I affixed and re-positioned several of the SpaceScaping labels multiple times before I finally settled on where each family of items would live. And even though the labels aren't designed to be permanent, I decided that mine would be! So instead of sticking them to the OUTSIDE of the cabinets and drawers, I stuck them to the INSIDE and left them there, so anyone who rents the house will find it super easy to find things and put them away. Here are a few pics for ya:

So thanks Lorie, for a terrific product that will help renters keep my beautiful new kitchen neat and organized!
