Welcome to The Check-Out Line, where I review products (and services)
that are designed to make your life easier. I give you my opinion and
my opinion only. You decide for yourself. You can see my past product
reviews here. This week, I'm reviewing the Pouchee...
Purpose: It's an insert that you fill with all your various day to day needs that you'd carry with you. You drop the Pouchee into your purse and it keeps you organized, so you can find what you need quickly without digging. The Pouchee also moves from purse to purse, so instead of transferring every item over to a different purse, you just pick up the Pouchee and transfer it all at once. I don'[t own a purse with an open gusset anymore, so I wasn't an appropriate test subject for the Pouchee. I asked one my neighbor Tiffany if she'd try it out for a week or so and let me know her thoughts, and she agreed. Here are Tiffany's thoughts:
Pros: Tiffany said: "Its petite size makes it easy to fit into almost any size handbag. I love the amount of credit card space that is available on the outside. The rings make the bag very stylish, almost to the point that it is a handbag in and of itself! It makes the transition from handbag to handbag very quick and easy and no longer requires half an hour to reorganize all my personal items each time I change handbags."
My added note: I am impressed with the number of colors the Pouchees are available in -- twelve colors in the cotton variety and eight colors in the faux leather. That's nice.
Cons: Tiffany said: "The only negative aspect is the storage space for money. The zipper pocket is perfect for loose change, but is not big enough for bills. Bills do fit in the central compartments, but I would prefer a more secure pocket. Thanks for the opportunity to try this great product out!"
Suggested Retail: Pouchees range from $22.40 for the cotton ones to $25 for the faux leather kind from the Outback Collection. They also offer something called a Console Caddie ($25), which appears to be a Pouchee with a handle that you keep in your car.
Where to Buy: You can order from Sandy Jenney, a fellow organizer and reseller of the Pouchee. Other posts in the Check-Out Line:
