It's Memorial Day. But what exactly are we remembering? In short... sacrifice. We're remembering those fine men and women who, for generations, have sacrificed many things for the sake of defending the interests of this great nation, both at home and abroad. These dedicated human beings have given their time, energy, and money doing a thankless job, missing holidays with their families for months and years on end, and some have made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives -- all in service to their country.
Today, thanks to the kind folks at Xerox, you can send a free thank you card to those serving in the United States military! Just go to the Let's Say Thanks website, choose the design you like, and Xerox will pay to have it written, addressed, and snail mailed to a service person somewhere in the world.
HOW COOL IS THAT?? Thank you so much to Xerox for doing this on behalf of me, Christmas Boy, and all our friends who have never served. And an even bigger THANK YOU to all United States military personnel, past and present, for your service to this great nation!

This weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and millions of Americans will be spending a few days relaxing by the pool, grilling out, and enjoying a three-day reprieve from work. Enjoy the holiday but please remember what it's all about.
Memorial Day is a day set aside to remember the tremendous sacrifices that generations of committed American servicemen and women have made over the years, in defense of this great nation.
To those who have served, or are presently serving, although words are not adequate to express my gratitude, I humbly offer you a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU.

Oh, I'm so gangsta, aren't I? Yeah, not really. But I AM heading back to Cali next week with Beazer Homes, so come out and see me! So I arrived in Dallas a few hours ago, my Beazer contact picked me up at the DFW airport and we bravely fought rush hour traffic to get to our hotel. Within a half hour of arriving at the hotel, we were back out the door again and on our way to have dinner with two of the local Beazer peeps. As you know, I'm quite the Foodie, and I always like to dine at a local hotspot, and of course, Dallas is no exception. So what do you have to have when you're in Texas?BARBECUE of course!
We went to this awesomely casual place (think picnic tables and metal folding chairs) called Rudy's and had some of the BEST barbecue I've ever had. I couldn't decide what I wanted, so the nice man behind the counter suggested I try a little bit of a bunch o' stuff. I walked away with smoked turkey, sausage, pork, and brisket. Not to mention half a loaf of white bread and homemade creamed corn and a Frostie Vanilla Root Beer. Mmmmm was that one yummy meal! I brought half of it back to my hotel room fridge. (not that I'll eat it at midnight, but I like keeping my options open...)
Next time you're in the Dallas area, you gotta try Rudy's!
