If you're following financial guru Suze Orman on Twitter (@SuzeOrmanShow) you may already know she has a theory about your wallet. Suze says if your wallet (or even your ALL-ETT) is a mess, you probably don't respect your money and your financial life is likely to be a mess too. Soooooo, what's in your wallet? Random scraps of paper? Old candy wrappers? A 5-year old...
condom? Ewww.
How do you treat your cash? Is it randomly stuffed in your wallet, some bills folded up, others unfolded, and facing all different directions? Is your money crinkled and dog-eared? Do you keep cash in more than one compartment and some extra in all your pants pockets? If your wallet and your money is disorganized, I'll bet you're in debt and/or not as prosperous as you'd like to be. Suze's betting that too. We both believe if you don't treat money with respect, that your relationship with it is unhealthy, and that you're actually repelling it from your life! Ack! What a bleak thought.
So take a few minutes today and change all that mess! First, remove everything from your wallet. Sort and organize your money. Eliminate old receipts, scraps of paper, expired credit cards, candy wrappers, and for Pete's sake, ditch the condom! I'm not saying that organizing your money and cleaning out your wallet will immediately draw more money to you, but I guarantee you'll feel better, and it sure is a good start down the road to respecting and attracting more money into your life.
