Six drum and bugle corps t-shirts. That's the extent of my sentimental t-shirt collection. What's yours? Concerts? College? Sports teams? It doesn't really matter where they came from, what matters is how many you have. If you have more than a handful and they're just packed away in a box someplace, consider preserving them in a little different way.
In my quest to find new resources for uncluttering, I just discovered this cool service that will take your old shirts and turn them into quilts! You can even send them your old sentimental baby clothes and they'll turn them into a quilt too!
Check out the quilt photos to see what the finished product looks like and maybe you'll be inspired to give yourself or someone else a special gift of t-shirts this year!

OMG - awesome! I'm thinking of JEN - the original t-shirt queen (she needs this!) and what's so CRAZY is this could be a quilt in Jen's house as her and Jeff are HUGE Packer Fans. Whoa, wait a second, are you sure this isn't Jen's quilt !?!?! I want to do this for Aidan but I'm afraid it would be a total STAR WARS quilt - Yowzers!

I thought awesome too! Jeff could have 3 quilts of the Packers - if I could get them out of the closet!
I have talked about the "sentimental" shirts and such that the girls have, and I plan on doing this for them. Wondering, will I have to cut each cool t-shirt and sweatshirt down the middle to make 2 quilts? Hmmm.

There are LOTS of services that do this! See Item #2 on this post: http://jdorganizer.blogspot.com/2008/01/four-options-for-old-t-shirts-besides.html

OMG! I was home sick today and of course couldn't sit still and get well, so I undertook the dreaded t-shirt dump. I segregated the tees as follows: Work out/tank, white, colors, long sleeve and giveaways. The goal was to have one spare drawer, empty at the end and have a pile of giveaways larger than the pile that went back in the drawers. My hubby was impressed. I'm pooped, but feel so good right now, I could go shopping! just kidding.
