I don't watch a ton of television, but I'll admit to having a standing date with a few shows each week and one of my favorites is The Office. Steve Carell continues to push the envelope of loser bosshood to new levels in an always hilarious way. Anyway, I'm talking about The Office because when I was in Staples the other day copying handouts for a workshop I was doing, I noticed the coolest little machine and I have to tell you about it! It's called...
the MailMate and it's a heavy-duty, countertop-sized document shredder disguised as a kitchen appliance!
Traveling incognito as a coffee maker, the MailMate shreds UNOPENED junk mail, even if it contains fake credit cards, staples, paper clips or CDs! This little baby has the strength of a 20-sheet shredder in a body roughly the size of a Mr. Coffee. The best part (besides that its footprint is less than a square foot and it sits on the kitchen countertop or your desktop!) is that the shred bin pulls out from the front, so you can empty it as easily as you'd pull and dump a used coffee filter basket. It's cute and eve more importantly, it's pure genius, I tellya! Watch for the MailMate on an upcoming episode of The Office, Thursday nights on NBC.
